国土交通省が11月26日発表した第３四半期（７月－10月）の地価動向報告によると、全国主要150地区のうち71％に当たる107地区が前四半期に比べて上昇した。前四半期は66％が増加を示していたので、地価の上昇傾向が明確になった。
東京圏では約７割の46地区が上昇。上昇は１地区増えた。池袋や吉祥寺、横浜などの商業地が上昇に転じた。大阪圏も全体の約７割の28地区が値上がりし上昇は３地区増えた。名古屋圏は前回に続き、全14地区が上がった。
地方圏では、約６割の19地区が上昇した。上昇は４地区増えた。地方の中核都市でも駅前や繁華街での開発意欲が高まっている。国交省は、上昇地区数が増えた理由として、不動産投資意欲の回復、住宅需要の増加などにより三大都市圏で値上がりが続いたことを指摘した。

According to the report on trends of land prices in the third quarter (July to October) released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on November 26th, 107 areas, 71% of 150 major areas nationwide surveyed showed rise in land prices compared to the preceding quarter. As 66% of the areas surveyed showed rise in land prices in the preceding quarter, the upward trend of land prices was proven.
In the Tokyo region, 46 areas rose in land price, which accounted for about 70% of the areas surveyed. Commercial districts including Ikebukuro, Kichijoji, and Yokohama reversed a downward trend. Also in the Osaka region 28 areas, about 70% of the areas surveyed rose in land prices, increasing three areas compared to the preceding quarter. In the Nagoya region, all 14 areas rose in land price, which was the same as last time.
In local regions, 19 areas, about 60% of the areas surveyed showed rise in land prices. Motivation for investment has soared in front of stations and in busy districts in major urban areas even in local regions. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism pointed out continuous rise in land prices in three metropolitan areas due to recovery in motivation to invest in real estate and increase in housing needs as the reason for increase of the areas showing rise in land prices.
