コンピュータのウイルス、嫌ですね。愉快犯もいるようだけど、益々手が込んできて、国際的な犯罪の様相を呈するものが増えてきていますね。それでは英作文に挑戦しましょう。

コンピュータ・セキュリティの調査会社によると、全く新しいウイルスが日本で急速に広がっている。日本では160件以上が報告されている。このウイルスはパソコンにロックをかけその操作を不可能にし、このパソコンを復元するのに金の支払いを要求することから「身代金型」と呼ばれている。このタイプのウイルスは海外の多くの国でも報告されている。このウイルスを取り除くにはOS（オペラーティング・システム）の再インストールが必要になり容易ではない。また、たとえ「身代金」を支払っても、このウイルスが完全に取り除かれる保証はない。データを保存してこのウイルスの攻撃に備える必要がある。

According to a computer security research company, a completely new virus has spread rapidly in Japan. More than 160 cases have been reported in Japan. It is called "ransom-demand type" because it locks a PC and makes operation of it impossible, and requests its user to pay ransom money for restoring the PC. This type of virus has been reported also in many foreign countries. It is difficult to remove it as re-installation of the operating system is needed. But even if you pay the ransom money, there is no guarantee that the virus will be completely removed. We need to protect our PCs against the virus by saving the data.
